Thankful Thursdays

I'm just gonna come out and say it.

I'm a complainer.

I know, I saw the pictures in the last post, too. I have absolutely nothing to complain about, yet it still happens on a daily basis. Good ol sin nature bringing out the worst in me. It's not cute.

I want to be a positive person. Someone my friends, family, husband, and son can count on to be cheerful, appreciative, and fun to be around. (which I totally am most of the time. Right guys?? Anybody?)

I've decided to start up a "thankful Thursday". Nothing special or fancy, just a way for me to be more aware of the blessings in my life both big and small. Something I can look back on when I'm feeling frustrated or annoyed and remind myself that I am "too blessed to be stressed". Cute right?? Got that one off an episode of hoarders...if you haven't seen that show, put down whatever you're doing and watch an ep. It's frightening, and a little hard to watch at times, (imagine a house full of used, adult diapers, food thats been expired for YEARS and dead cats stacked up like old newspapers...ya, don't say I didn't warn ya) BUT it makes you feel so good about that little pile (or six) of laundry you have lying around and will most likely motivate you to do a load or two. (And by do a load or two I obviously mean stick a pile in the wash, shut the lid, and leave it there for a week. Don't even pretend like you've never done that.)

...I'm sorry...I don't know what just happened. I was talking about being thankful and cheerful and all of a sudden there's dead cats and old lady diapers everywhere. Told ya I needed a creative outlet.

Mmmk, back to thankful Thursday's. Here's my list for the week.

That cutie up there does the dishes every night. Without me ever having to ask. Did I mention it's EVERY night, as in e-v-e-r-y?! If that ain't sexy, I don't know what is.

McDonald's "3 for $1.00" chocolate chip Cookies. I could just bake some myself, but come on, three for a dollar?! I can't pass up a bargain. Plus, I NEVER complain when there's a chocolate chip cookie in my hand. Pretty sure this one qualifies as a double whammy. Go me!

GNO: otherwise known as girls night out. Margaritas flowing like the salmon of capostrano and laughing with friends who might as well be sisters. Doesn't get much better than that.

And finally; a mini road trip this weekend to visit sweet family. I can't wait!

Not too shabby of a list eh? Like I said before, I am way too blessed to be stressed.
